Good morning and Happy New Year!
I spent New Year's Eve sewing. It's -11 degrees and I was pretty sure last night was not good "going out to party" weather. And even if I were the more adventurous type, in a town of 800, party locales are pretty limited. We did, however, bundle up and go out to dinner with some friends earlier in the evening. Prime rib and king crab legs. Wouldn't you bundle up for that too? But once I got home and walked through the front door, it was nothing but a long hot shower, fuzzy flannel pajamas and my sewing machine. We rocked the night away.
My 50 red snowball blocks are finished.
And I'm just about finished with my 49 white snowball blocks also. By this afternoon, I should be sewing them up into rows.
Today, the new Schnibbles pattern was announced for January. Madeline. I couldn't be more happy! I love this pattern and it's been on my list of quilts to make and I was waiting to see if it would show up in the Year of Schnibbles line-up. It's just darling and I can't wait to get started.
I'm off to make New Year's waffles and then settle in for another day of sewing. Have a great weekend!
Can't wait to see your Snowball quilt finished. Here's mine: I finished it a few days ago - just under the wire for 2009! http://pickledish.blogspot.com/2009/12/red-hots.html
