This little Valentine table runner has been quilted and sitting here patiently for over two years, just waiting to be binded. So I hunkered down this evening with needle and variegated red thread and stitched it up while we watched Mykel and his gorgeous wife Ruth navigate the Amazon on Man Woman Wild. Have you ever watched that show? We just recently stumbled upon it and I love it. And not just because Mykel is a hot ex-Special Forces force to be reckoned with. It's educational and interesting. And there is no amount of money in the world that would make me do some (most) of the things he drags his wife into. Good heavens. She is such a good sport about it too!
So, with time to spare, my scrappy heart Valentine runner is checked off The List. One down; 61 to go.
Tomorrow I'm making my center for my upcoming round robin. I'm having such a tough time coming up with something to do for this. I can't decide on a theme or colors or anything. I'm tossing around a few ideas in a my head - scrappy purple batiks, or even a Christmas theme. And every once in a while, I even think it might be fun to do an orange and white scheme. Definately out of the box for most who will be working on it with me, and certainly bright and cheerful during these next few months of winter. We'll see. I'll come up with something tomorrow and by Friday, let's hope I have something to show.
Last night, Keith was watching some documentary on bald eagles, when out of left field, Butters comes tearing into the room and starts running laps in front of the TV, following the eagles. She did this for a while, and then sat and watched them fly around. She was completely engrossed in them and could not be distracted. It was hialrious.
Congrats on the finished UFO!! It probably didn't even take very long!! Woo-Hoo!

Good job, Allyson, on finishing the Valentine's runner. It sure looks nice.
Funny about Butters...what goes on in their little brains, I wonder.

So funny about Butters! Once in a while something will catch our cats' attention on TV. Mostly, loud noises get them!

That is a cute runner! Do you remember the name of the pattern? It is so simple and sweet.

Congratulations! It's such a cute runner. And you finished it before Valentine's Day!

Sometimes making a list can be very motivating. Nothing like checking something off an official (ufo) LIST! Nice finish on the runner. I just bought some bright pink fabric to make a heart runner myself today. Since it isn't a color I normally decorate with, it is fun to do something different.
Funny kitty. :)

I am afraid to count the number of UFOs I have. But I do have every intentions to tackling some of them this year!
The Valentine's runner is really sweet!
Quiltingly Yours
