This gorgeous stack of reproduction prints has been in my possession for a while. My dear friend and old college roommate Vickey picked them out for me to make a quilt for their bed. Life intervened, as it inconsiderately does sometimes, and I'm just now getting back to it. Summertime is a hard time to break out the sewing machine.
We picked this pattern from Red Crinoline Quilts, but are enlarging it, and adding pieced borders to make it not only fit their king-sized bed, but drape also.
I have the five star-in-a-star blocks finished, and am waiting for the extra setting triangle fabric to arrive. Until then, I'm working on extra little star blocks to set on point for the border.
These fabrics are delicious. An absolutely divine collection of prints and colors. I am really enjoying working with them and will be sad to see this quilt go live somewhere else. At least I know I'll have visitation rights.
It will be hard to give it away...it looks lovely so far.

I'm anxious to hear the rest of the story. Don't keep us all hanging. What happened after fall 2012? I'll tell you one thing that happened. . . my husband and I are in Wisconsin on a mission. Talk about change of scenery~
